1. Introduction

StashPaste ("we", "our", or "the app") is a macOS clipboard manager developed and distributed by the StashPaste Team. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.

2. Data Collection

We do not collect any personal data. StashPaste runs entirely on your Mac. There are no servers, no cloud services, no analytics, and no telemetry. Your clipboard data never leaves your device.

3. Local Data Storage

StashPaste stores your clipboard history in a local SQLite database on your Mac. Sensitive items encrypted with Touch ID are stored using AES-256-GCM encryption tied to your hardware. This data is only accessible to you and is never transmitted anywhere.

4. Third-Party Services

The only external service used is Lemon Squeezy for license key validation and purchase processing. Lemon Squeezy handles payment information according to their own Privacy Policy . StashPaste itself does not process or store payment information.

5. Sparkle Update Checks

StashPaste uses the Sparkle framework to check for updates. This sends a standard HTTPS request to fetch the update feed. No personal information is included in these requests.

6. Password Manager Exclusions

StashPaste automatically detects and excludes clipboard content from password managers (such as 1Password, Bitwarden, and Keychain Access). Content from these apps is never captured or stored.

7. Children's Privacy

StashPaste does not collect data from anyone, including children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
